This shoulder bag features DARUMA, one of Japan’s most iconic symbols of perseverance and good fortune, boldly expressed through art embroidery.

The front showcases a striking DARUMA motif created with detailed, dimensional embroidery.

Its powerful expression and textured craftsmanship reinterpret this traditional Japanese symbol through a contemporary design.

In Japan, DARUMA has long been associated with perseverance, resilience, good fortune, and the determination to achieve one’s goals — a symbol of getting back up and continuing forward no matter how many times you fall.

The gussets feature Nishijin-ori, one of Japan’s most celebrated traditional textiles.

Set against a deep black background, shimmering gold details create an elegant contrast and reveal different expressions as the bag moves and catches the light.

The reverse side is crafted from solid black washi tatami, bringing a refined and understated texture to the design.

Inside, Nishijin textile is used generously throughout the interior, creating a beautiful contrast with the black exterior and allowing Japanese craftsmanship to be experienced even when the bag is opened.

The bag comes with an adjustable genuine leather shoulder strap. With seven adjustment holes, the strap can be adjusted from approximately 102 cm (40.2 in) to 123 cm (48.4 in), allowing the bag to be comfortably styled as a shoulder or crossbody bag.

Despite its compact silhouette, the bag features an approximately 8 cm (3.1 in) depth, providing practical space while remaining comfortable and easy to carry.
