This shoulder bag boldly expresses DARUMA, one of Japan’s most iconic symbols of good fortune, through richly textured art embroidery.

The front features an intricately embroidered DARUMA, carefully crafted down to the finest details.

Its powerful expression and dimensional embroidery transform a traditional Japanese motif into a striking contemporary design.

In Japan, the Daruma has long symbolized the spirit of “Nanakorobi Yaoki” — falling seven times and rising eight. It represents perseverance, resilience, the determination to rise again after adversity, the achievement of goals, and the wish for good fortune.

The gusset is crafted from Nishijin textile, one of Japan’s most renowned traditional woven textiles.

Against its deep black base, intricate gold-toned motifs emerge beautifully as they catch the light, revealing different expressions as the bag moves or is viewed from different angles.

The back is crafted from plain black Washi Tatami.

Its understated and finely woven texture contrasts with the Nishijin textile and expressive embroidery, bringing balance and refinement to the overall design.

Nishijin textile is also generously used throughout the interior.

Its decorative character creates a beautiful contrast with the predominantly black exterior, allowing Japanese materials and craftsmanship to be appreciated even when the bag is opened.

The shoulder strap is made from genuine leather.

It can be adjusted to seven different lengths, ranging from approximately 102–123 cm / 40.2–48.4 in, allowing the bag to be worn either over the shoulder or crossbody.

Despite its compact silhouette, the bag offers approximately 8 cm / 3.1 in of depth, providing practical storage capacity for everyday essentials.

Weighing approximately 410 g / 0.90 lb, it is lightweight and comfortable to carry.

* Avoid strong impacts, excessive pressure, and contact with sharp objects, as these may damage the embroidery, Washi Tatami, Nishijin textile, or genuine leather.
* Take particular care to avoid snagging or excessive friction on the embroidered and Nishijin textile areas.
* Genuine leather may gradually change in color and texture over time. Please enjoy this as part of the natural aging process of the material.
