Japanese Tradition and the Power of the Tiger, Reimagined for Today
This statement bamboo bag features a striking TIGER motif, intricately embroidered over deep black washi tatami.
The gold and silver-toned embroidery creates a powerful contrast against the subtle texture of the black tatami, capturing the strength and dynamic movement of the tiger while maintaining a refined, contemporary presence.
In Japanese art and culture, the tiger has long been depicted as a symbol of strength, courage, and protection.
The side panels are crafted from richly patterned Nishijin textile from Kyoto. Its luminous golden tones create a dramatic contrast with the black tatami and bring depth and elegance to the structured silhouette.
The interior is also finished with Nishijin textile and features one practical interior pocket, allowing the beauty of traditional Kyoto textile craftsmanship to be enjoyed each time the bag is opened.
The reverse side is finished in solid black washi tatami, creating a minimalist counterpart to the richly embroidered front. This contrast gives the bag two distinctly different expressions depending on how it is carried.
Natural bamboo handles complete the design, bringing together embroidery, washi tatami, Nishijin textile, and bamboo in one distinctive piece.
TIGER. Washi Tatami. Nishijin Textile. Bamboo.
A bold fusion of traditional Japanese materials and contemporary design, carefully handcrafted in Kyoto.

About the Materials
This bag combines traditional and natural materials, including washi tatami, Nishijin textile, natural bamboo, and detailed embroidery.
The texture of washi tatami creates subtle variations in appearance depending on the light and viewing angle.
Bamboo is a natural material, and variations in color, shape, grain, nodes, and surface texture may occur.
The placement of the Nishijin textile pattern and the appearance of the embroidery may also vary slightly from piece to piece.
These variations are part of the individuality and character of each handcrafted bag.

• Please avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, excessive heat, and high humidity.
• Avoid contact with water or rain. If the bag becomes wet, gently blot away moisture with a soft, dry cloth and allow it to air-dry naturally in a well-ventilated area.
• Avoid strong impacts, excessive pressure, and contact with sharp objects, as these may damage the embroidery, tatami, textile, or bamboo.
• Please take care to prevent snagging or excessive friction on the embroidered and Nishijin textile surfaces.
• Natural bamboo may gradually change in color and appearance over time. This is part of the character of the natural material.
• When not in use, store the bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
